We met, and after finding out their requirements, DigitalHappy recommended building a new site using PrestaShop. Being a platform built primarily for ecommerce, PrestaShop offered very appropriate features including a great dashboard of site users and all the common features expected in good/easy-to-use ecommerce systems.  One of the main reasons chosen was due to the flexibility with product shipping.

Setting up and calculating shipping is always an interesting exercise when developing an ecommerce site. This one in particular had a number of challenges as BBQ and Furniture products varied greatly. Some were small enough to ship via Austpost parcel, others large enough to require 2 men and a truck to deliver. The simplest method to set up the shipping was to place them into shipping categories. This way each category could be costed for metro and regional areas.

eWay is being used for the payment gateway which integrates seamlessly with PrestaShop through an existing module published by eWay themselves.

For this we recommended Shopify as the platform to create the online store, due to support from a 3^rd party connector application. This connector allows the products entered in the instore LightSpeed POS system to be synced to the Shopify website.  This streamlines the process of running the online shop component, as product data only has to be entered once into the POS system.

To handle payments in the online store a PayPal Website Payments Pro account was setup to allow payments from Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.

Due to the connector above all orders that are place in the online store are synced into the LightSpeed POS system for easy management and fulfillment.

After taming the mountain of products data, it is great to see the clean and simple layout of the website that really lets the products standout.

Developed in WordPress with a simple yet attractive theme, The Loose Goose site allows patrons to easily find out what is on the menu and where they are located. Integration with the popular restaurant booking service Dimmi allows patrons to make bookings online.

A WordPress Plugin was used to maximise the usability of the site on a mobile device, minimising maintenance by utilising the same content as the desktop site.

The Loose Goose makes fantastic food; they needed a way to show people. Over a number of sessions DigitalHappy has taken food shots for their menu changes. These photos are used on the websites gallery and to get the patrons salivating on The Loose Goose facebook page!

In partnership with Cream Designs the website was redesigned and developed to service the needs of the users arriving on Desktop, Tablet and Mobile devices.

Using WordPress as the content management system and Bootstrap as the responsive framework the new site now looks as good on mobile devices as is does on desktops. Using WordPress as the CMS provided a simple way for the Pilot marketing team to keep the site up to date with news articles, company newsletters, the Pilot staff and career information.

The concept revolved around a “selfie” and integrating this functionality into a small web app that would run on an iPad. The setup included 3 iPads, a laptop running as a webserver, a Wi-Fi router and 2 large projectors.

Students logged into the web app using their ID that had been sent to them in a direct marketing campaign. Selected an inspirational word then took a photo using the front or rear camera on the iPad. This data was processed on the webserver where the photo was desaturated and the inspirational word superimposed.

The processed images were displayed as a slideshow on 2 large projectors in the lecture theatre throughout the day.

This installation was successfully used at the Springfield, Toowoomba and Fraser Coast campuses.
